Company DescriptionMy name is Stephanie. I am part owner of Hire Standard Group. Please take a few minutes to learn about us. We are probably not like the other recruiting firms you%u2019ve worked with in the past. Here is why and here is what it should mean to you.







I have been recruiting for companies in the Midwest region for nearly a decade. Before starting Hire Standard Group I had worked for three agencies in the area. I was a consistent top recruiter and sales manager and advanced to a strategic accounts level at each firm. After much success with the companies that I partnered with, I decided to open a national focused firm that priced its services to companies in a manner that allowed them to conduct retained searches for people below the executive level and at the executive level.







We have become truly a one-stop shop for small to mid-sized firms in the Midwest and have conducted searches from the COO down to the individual contributor.







While we initially worked in the human resource and operations areas, we have expanded focus to be well versed in all positions with-in many fields. Almost all of our clients are small to mid-sized firms who are looking for people who can help them grow. If you want to work with a company that truly takes the time in putting your business needs first then you will be speaking with the right company if you are a company just looking for a quick fill, then we are not who you should be working with.







Our contingency side business is approached like brokers, not salespeople.



Before starting Hire Standard Group I spent months speaking to people about what they want from a recruiting firm. The strong answer was less sales emphasis and more information. That fits our philosophy perfectly. While the traditional contingency recruiter has only one job or candidate to sell, our goal is to know every company and/or candidate in our market. When I described what I do to my business partner, she hit the nail on the head when she said, "we are brokers not salespeople". That means if you are a Human Resource Manager, CPA, Oracle DBA, or Marketing professional looking for a job, I can call the 10, 20 or 100 managers of departments that fit your goals. If you are an employer looking to hire a specific skill set, I can contact the 10, 20, 100 or 500 people in the area that fit that skill. If you want to work with a firm where 90% of the training is on how to "close" you, call someone else. If you want a firm that will work to find an employment solution, that%u2019s us.











We have no bureaucracy.



We are small. You don't need to be big if you are privately held and smart. Size adds overhead and costs. There are no Vice Presidents, Managers or Executives at Hire Standard Group. High overhead means high fees. Large staffs mean turf battles that complicate your relationship with a recruiting firm. We contract out our sourcing and telemarketing functions. This means if you are an employer or candidate that is entering the market, once you've been identified you will deal with me and not someone on whose desk you randomly were placed. I am personally accountable for establishing and maintaining a good relationship. If there is a question or problem, you will know who to call.







We give good advice.



In analyzing our success over the last few years I noticed one thing. Companies in our market come back to us, often with retainers and exclusives. I think this is because we do more than provide bodies. Because of the depth of our experience with businesses in all industries we are able to work with a CEO or a VP and help them or define his or her openings in a way that draws the best candidate available and not just someone with the right title at a competitor.
